I am Human.

We do not grow absolutely, chronologically.
We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.

So, I was walking into a store today, saw a girl with a sleeve of tattoos and an eyebrow piercing…

Automatically I thought Dauntless.

The other day I was In the car, and I waited for a train. I watched it waiting for people in black clothing to jump out.

Is it safe to say I am obsessed?

“People, I have discovered, are layers and layers of secrets. You believe you know them, that you understand them, but their motives are always hidden from you, buried in their own hearts. You will never know them, but sometimes you decide to trust them”

-Insurgent

“We Believe in ordinary acts of Bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.” -Dauntless Manifesto (Divergent)

I just Finished Insurgent,

I don’t know what to do with my life now…

Excuse me while I go Re-Read Divergent.

Divergent Thoughts

Is it weird that the entire time I was reading Divergent I imagined Four to look like Wes Bentley as his character Seneca Crane in the Hunger Games, Even though he doesn’t have a beard at all in the book?

Here’s the thing: life isn’t always going to be perfect. It’s going to be a lot of work, it’s going to be hard, you’re going to get disappointed a lot, and things won’t ever go your way. But something amazing will always come out of every down fall. Something new will always start off an old ending. People will come and go, the true ones will always remain. One must always have faith that something better lies right around the corner.

“There is no point in trying to deceive the heart, it depends on our honesty for survival.”

Whatever you do, don’t give up.

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

SPOILERS: The Hunger Games quick thought

One of the most beautiful scenes in the entire movie to me was the scene that showed what happened to Katniss’s father. When it shows the mining accident, it also shows a photograph of their father sitting on the fireplace ledge. The walls suddenly get blown away down to the foundation, and everything becomes a mess. I think this scene is beautiful because though it’s so simple, it shows that when their father got killed in the accident, the foundation of their family got destroyed. Once it was all demolished it slowly reversed and reconstructed, however it was never the same.

You have to take risks. We will only understand the miracle of life fully when we allow the unexpected to happen.

“I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: Only love can do that.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
